Network Marketing
I'm not a fan of network marketing. While I
recognize the compelling logic of it as a marketing format —
individuals educating others about a new product or approach, sharing
their experience, and being compensated for their time and knowledge
— too often it seems to bring out the worst in people: some
mixture of hype, greed and incessant, irrational partisanship.
As we all know, the form has been grossly abused
by hucksters. Consequently, for the past 20 years or so, in selling
anything to others, I have always looked to see if some other brand is
available in the regular wholesale/retail distribution system.
Nevertheless, there are some products that are so
beneficial and unique that I would make the exception.
When I came across Advanced Tachyon Technologies
International in August 2001, it was a no-brainer. The fact that they
seem to be the only products available that do what they do made it a
choiceless choice — and I didn't want to pay retail. Plus, there
was no hype at all — only information about the products and how
to use them.
The Consciousness Factor
My own observations tell me that consciousness is
the determinant factor in life. And consciousness is what sets ATTI
apart from virtually every other network marketing enterprise that I'm
aware of.
For one thing, ATTI is clearly not a "network
marketing company" or "multi-level marketing company". It's a
company that promotes greater health, vitality and consciousness
through its products. The distribution system has grown out of that,
something it is doing in large part in response to requests of its
customer base and long-time supporters.
Like everything else in ATTI, the distribution
system is a reflection of David Wagner.
I've spent 18 days around David in Verticality and Tachyon Wellness
Practitioner trainings, and a little private time, and feel like I have
a good sense of who he is. One thing I'm clear about is that he does
not act from scarcity consciousness. He very much holds an attitude of
good will, abundance and service. He truly wants his inventions to
transform health, vitality and consciousness on this planet and to do
it in harmony with other entities and life forms.
In the time I was around him, he never once
mentioned the distributor element or suggested stocking up on inventory
or signing new people up. It was totally about how to clear oneself and
operate in the world in "verticality" and how to help a person or
animal achieve perfect balance. He did go over most of the products in
the Practitioner Training, but that was all about getting results. In
fact, he spent quite a bit of time explaining how to use products for
things they weren't specifically designed for — so one wouldn't
have to buy other products.
I once asked David directly
about products geared for weight loss, since a company I was a
co-founder of, The Aliveness
Institute, has a large following of people with food and weight
issues. I found his response quite illuminating as to what he and this
company are about. He said he purposefully does not offer a weight loss
product (even though it is the most requested one to offer next and, I
might add, one which virtually every other MLM does offer, no matter
how far removed from their original niche) because he doesn't like the
focus it creates. It causes people to think in terms of “losing
weight” rather than achieving perfect balance. In reality, most
people who pursue perfect balance shift to their optimal weight
automatically without any need to make that their driving force.
When they started looking in 2004 at upgrading
the distribution system, the ATTI staff realized that David was not
only far and away the most successful salesman in the company, but that
he had never actually “sold” anything. All he had ever done
was to share information and the experience of tachyon with others and
let the consequences of that take their course.
That, then, is the model they now promote for the
other distributors.
ATTI's History
David Wagner founded Advanced Tachyon
Technologies International in 1990. Since that time, it has grown
enormously. Located in its own large building in Santa Rosa, CA, with a
separate manufacturing facility, it has several dozen enthusiastic
employees, with little turnover. Its unique products are distributed in
93 countries and a warehouse in Amsterdam.
Tachyon's Potential
Even with ATTI's growth, it has barely scratched
the surface. This is especially true in the United States, since so
many of David Wagner's trainings have occurred overseas, but worldwide
only a tiny percentage of potential customers have ever heard of this
revolutionary technology — much less have experienced it,
which is the ultimate sales "technique".
The opportunity for a quantum leap is at hand.
Over the past 13 years, the company has focused primarily on developing
both its product line and its internal systems so it can handle vastly
increased sales, and it has largely allowed sales to continue a steady
expansion through word of mouth and an amazingly high retention rate of
repeat customers.
Now, the whole distribution system has been
reorganized so that it's possible for someone who wants to build a
business promoting these technologies to do very well. There are
excellent support materials, and the company is being highly responsive
to the needs of distributors.
Nikken, a billion dollar a year enterprise, has
over 350,000 distributors of its magnetic products. Since Tachyonized
products are vastly superior in their healing effects, as scientific
studies will be demonstrating, ATTI should grow at least as large. That
is a huge upside.
And, there is so much more.
Right Livelihood
All in all, ATTI's distributorships pass the
Right Livelihood test. For many of us in this new era —
especially if we're self-employed, doing our creative work, our healing
work — the paradigm shift can involve having multiple streams of
income. Just work to be in balance and in flow. Don't push anything.
Just be... and have fun sharing whatever excites you.
